“It all started when my mother met my father when she was just 12 years old. Her family hosted my dad’s family for a weekend while he was playing in a hockey tournament just outside of Philadelphia. The rest is history (seriously!)
After a weekend of entertainment and excitement, my mother became pen pals with my dad's sister. Both families started to visit each other across the border every few months and finally, at my dad's sister's wedding, my parents were partnered together to walk down the aisle (for the first time) in the bridal party.
